THE COVE SIVOTA
THE COVE SIVOTA is the exclusive home base of Cavo Yachting, beautifully located in the picturesque Sivota Bay on the southern coast of Lefkada Island. Surrounded by lush green hills and crystal-clear waters, this naturally protected harbor offers exceptionally safe and sheltered mooring, making it the perfect starting and ending point for your sailing holiday in the Ionian Sea.
Our 60-metre private floating dock, constructed from durable concrete, provides outstanding stability and comfort in all weather conditions. Situated in the bay's most sheltered corner, directly opposite the village's charming church, the dock offers a truly authentic Greek setting. Traditional fishing boats line the nearby waterfront, adding to the unique character and atmosphere of Sivota Bay.

Embarkation Time
Embarkation takes place strictly at 17:00 (5:00 PM).
Please plan your arrival accordingly. Early embarkation is not possible under any circumstances. Our team requires the full turnaround time to complete extensive cleaning, technical inspections, safety checks, provisioning, and the preparation of your yacht to the high standards for which Cavo Yachting is known.
We kindly ask you not to request an earlier embarkation, as we are unfortunately unable to accommodate such requests. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Disembarkation Time
The yacht must return to THE COVE SIVOTA on the day before the charter ends, no later than 17:00, to allow sufficient time for the check-out procedures. This includes technical inspections, inventory checks, and the preparation of the yacht for the next charter. No exceptions can be made.
Guests are welcome to spend the final night on board at our private dock, with disembarkation taking place the following morning according to the charter schedule.
HOW TO REACH OUR BASE
PREVEZA AIRPORT
Aktion International Airport (PVK) is the closest airport to Sivota Bay in Lefkada, located approximately 60 km away. The journey takes you across the bridge connecting the mainland with Lefkada Island and through beautiful island scenery before reaching Sivota.
ATHENS AIRPORT TO THE BASE
Athens is located approximately 380 km from Sivota Bay in Lefkada. The journey to our base takes around 4 hours by car, passing through mainland Greece with beautiful coastal and mountain scenery, before crossing the bridge to Lefkada Island and continuing south to the picturesque bay of Sivota.
IGOUMENITSA
Igoumenitsa port is located approximately 95 km from Sivota Bay. The journey takes around 1 hour 45 minutes by car, passing through beautiful coastal and mountain scenery before reaching Lefkada Island and continuing south to Sivota Bay.
LOCATION
Our office is conveniently located directly next to our private dock, ensuring a smooth and seamless embarkation experience. Upon arrival, you simply check in at the office before taking just a few steps to your yacht. No transfers, no waiting—just an effortless start to your sailing holiday.
PARKING
Free public parking is available within a short walking distance of THE COVE SIVOTA. Sivota is a small and peaceful village, and parking is generally considered safe. However, all vehicles are parked entirely at the owner's risk. Cavo Yachting accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, theft, damage, vandalism, or any other incident affecting parked vehicles or their contents.

BOOKING A TRANSFER TO/FROM THE BASE
Airport transfers can only be requested through the Transfer Request Form provided by Cavo Yachting via email. Transfer requests submitted by email, WhatsApp, SMS, phone call, or any other communication channel will not be accepted or processed.
To allow sufficient time for scheduling, all transfer requests must be submitted no later than 7 days before embarkation. Requests received after this deadline cannot be arranged, without exception.
All transfer services are provided by independent third-party transportation companies. The prices displayed in the Transfer Request Form are provided by these third-party providers and may change without prior notice. Cavo Yachting does not guarantee the accuracy or validity of these prices and accepts no responsibility for any price changes.
Cavo Yachting acts solely as an intermediary by forwarding transfer requests to the selected transportation provider. We are not the transportation provider and accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the transfer service.This includes, but is not limited to, delays, late arrivals, no-shows, vehicle substitutions, cancellations, accidents, service quality, driver conduct, luggage handling, or any other aspect of the transportation service.
Under no circumstances shall Cavo Yachting be held liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, inconvenience, additional expenses, missed connections, missed flights, missed ferries, missed charter embarkations, or any other consequential damages arising from the performance or non-performance of the third-party transportation provider.
By submitting a Transfer Request Form, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
ARRIVING EARLY?
Please note that check-in begins at 5:00 PM, and unfortunately early check-in is not available.
We understand that many flights arrive well before the afternoon. Rather than waiting at the marina, we recommend making the most of your first day in beautiful Lefkada before joining your yacht.
A wonderful place to spend your first day is Maraboo Beach Club in Nidri. Conveniently located on the direct route from the airport to our base, it requires no detour and is the perfect place to relax before embarkation. Enjoy a stylish beachfront setting with a beautiful private beach, comfortable sunbeds and lounge areas, an excellent restaurant and bar, a relaxed atmosphere, and a watersports centre located right next door for guests looking for a more active start to their holiday.
For your convenience, secure luggage storage, changing rooms, and showers are available, allowing you to freshen up before heading to the marina.
If you would like us to arrange a lunch reservation or sunbed reservation at Maraboo Beach Club, simply include your request in the Transfer Request Form that will be sent to you by email before your charter.
This is the perfect way to begin your holiday relaxed and refreshed before your yacht is ready for check-in at 5:00 PM.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURE
Your check-in begins at our base office.
Please note that the dock is private property and is not accessible to guests before 5:00 PM. We kindly ask you not to enter the dock area before your scheduled check-in time unless specifically invited by a member of our team.
Upon arrival, please come to the office first to complete the administrative check-in. At this stage, you will be asked to settle any outstanding payments that are due at the base. Please carefully consult your booking confirmation as well as the email sent to you by our accounting team prior to embarkation and ensure that the required funds are readily available. You will also be asked to provide a VISA or Mastercard credit card for the refundable security deposit. We strongly recommend informing your bank in advance that a refundable security deposit will be pre-authorized on your credit card in Greece on the day of embarkation. Banks occasionally decline these transactions as part of their fraud-control procedures, which can cause significant and unnecessary delays during check-in. If a credit card authorization is declined more than once, or if the required funds or payment method are not readily available, we reserve the right to temporarily pause your check-in and assist the next guests while the payment issue is being resolved.
CHECK-IN ORDER
Check-ins are handled one after another in order of arrival and readiness. Our team will always do everything reasonably possible to make the process as smooth, efficient, and quick as possible.
We kindly ask all guests to respect the check-in order and our base staff. There is no need to pressure other guests, attempt to jump the queue, or be rude or demanding toward the team handling the administrative check-in. Everyone is working to get you onboard as efficiently as possible, and each charter will be processed as soon as reasonably possible.
Once the administrative check-in has been completed:

Crewed or skippered charters: Your crew will welcome you and escort you to your yacht.

Bareboat charters: A member of our base team will escort you to your yacht and begin the technical handover.
BAREBOAT CHECK-IN
Please allow sufficient time for the technical check-in and do not rush the process. Our yachts are modern, extensively equipped vessels with numerous onboard systems. They deserve to be treated with care, and a proper handover is essential for both your safety and the protection of the yacht.
A thorough technical check-in normally takes approximately one hour. Please take this into account when making dinner reservations or other plans for your first evening. A restaurant reservation is unfortunately not a reason to shorten or rush the yacht handover.
During the technical check-in, we kindly ask that only the designated skipper and, where applicable, the co-skipper remain onboard. The technical check-in is not the appropriate time to load luggage, provisions, or other personal belongings onto the yacht. Our technicians need sufficient space to move freely around the vessel and demonstrate all onboard equipment, safety features, and operating systems without interruption.
Once the technical handover has been completed, the remaining guests may board the yacht and luggage and provisions can be brought onboard. Taking the time to complete a proper handover ensures a safer, smoother, and more enjoyable holiday for everyone.
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE
All yachts are required to return to our base by 5:00 PM on Friday. No excpeptions can be made. This allows sufficient time for the refuelling, underwater inspection, and final preparations for the next charter.
Upon arrival, the fuel truck will refuel your yacht directly at the dock. Payment can be made directly to the fuel supplier either by VISA or Mastercard credit card or in cash.
As part of our standard safety procedures, every yacht undergoes an underwater inspection, regardless of whether it is a bareboat, skippered, or fully crewed charter. This inspection is mandatory and forms part of our routine maintenance and safety protocol.
BAREBOAT CHARTER CHECK-OUT
For bareboat charters, the final technical check-out will take place after all guests have disembarked.
Please ensure that all passengers, luggage, provisions, and personal belongings have been removed from the yacht before the inspection begins. Our technical team cannot carry out an efficient and thorough check-out while guests are still onboard or while the yacht is filled with luggage and personal items. We therefore kindly ask for your cooperation to help us complete the process smoothly and efficiently.
REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT
Unless damage has occurred during your charter, your refundable security deposit will be automatically released by our system on Saturday, following the completion of your check-out.
Please note that although the authorization is released immediately from our side, it may take several business days before the funds become visible as available on your account again.
This processing time depends entirely on your card issuer and bank. We have no influence over banking procedures and therefore cannot accept responsibility for any delays in the release of funds on the banking side.
PROVISIONING
CREWED CHARTERS
If your charter includes a hostess, provisioning couldn't be easier. Before your charter, you will receive a Preference Sheet by email. Simply complete the form with your food and beverage preferences, dietary requirements, allergies, and any special requests. Your hostess will take care of the provisioning before your arrival and will continue to replenish supplies throughout the week as required. Once you have completed the Preference Sheet, there is nothing further you need to arrange regarding provisioning.
SKIPPERED & BAREBOAT CHARTERS
For skippered charters without a hostess and bareboat charters, you may conveniently pre-order your groceries using the provisioning link that will be sent to you before your charter.
Orders must be submitted no later than 5 days before your embarkation date. Your groceries will be delivered directly to your yacht before your arrival. Payment for the groceries must be made in cash upon receipt of the supermarket invoice. As we merely collect the payment on behalf of the supplier, supermarket deliveries cannot be paid by credit card through our POS terminal. Please ensure that you have the required cash readily available when your groceries are delivered.
Please note that we act solely as an intermediary between you and the supermarket. While we are happy to facilitate your order, we cannot accept responsibility for the availability, completeness, quality, freshness, or accuracy of the products supplied by third-party supermarkets.
SHOPPING LOCALLY
If you prefer to do your own shopping, you will find several supermarkets and local shops in Sivota village.
Please do not arrange for groceries to be delivered before 5:00 PM. The yachts are still being cleaned and prepared throughout the day, and we are unfortunately unable to receive deliveries on your behalf, store groceries (including refrigerated or frozen products), or grant access to the yacht before your scheduled check-in time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, which allows us to ensure that your yacht is fully prepared and in perfect condition for your arrival.
LUGGAGE STORAGE
You are welcome to leave your luggage on our outdoor premises while waiting for check-in or after check-out until your transfer arrives. Please note that luggage is left entirely at your own risk. We are unfortunately unable to store luggage inside our office, supervise personal belongings, or accept any responsibility or liability for loss, theft, damage, or unattended items. Due to the number of yachts we operate, this is simply not possible from an operational perspective.
If you wish to store luggage for a longer period (for example, empty suitcases while you are on charter), we can arrange this through an independent third-party luggage storage provider in Sivota. The provider will collect your luggage before your charter and return it prior to your check-out. The current price is €20 per suitcase per week. Please note that this service is provided entirely by a third party. Prices are determined solely by the storage provider and may change without notice. We act only as an intermediary and accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the service provided, including but not limited to pricing, availability, collection or delivery times, loss, theft, damage, delay, or any other claims arising from the use of this third-party service.
